History
Our development
Monarex was established in 1996. Since its establishment, the firm has experienced a remarkable growth and the following are the milestones of our development:
Since 1997, Monarex, k.s. has been a member of the Slovak Chamber of Tax Advisers (licence nr. 24/97).
Since 2000, Monarex audit consulting, s.r.o. has been a member of the Slovak Chamber of Auditors (licence nr. 263).
In 2004 we were registered in the Ministry of Justice as a company for valuation and appraisals in the field of economics and businesses (licence nr. 900155).
In 2004, Monarex professionally and successfully managed all of the challenges caused by changes in legislation, as a result of entering Slovakia into the EU.
Since 2005, we have been member of the IAPA* (International Association of Practising Accountants) – a global association of separate and independently owned and managed accountancy firms. The IAPA belongs to the top 20 biggest advisory associations in the world.
In 2007 we became an international associate of the UK200Group – a mutual association of quality assured independent accountants and lawyers.
The membership of global organizations of professional firms has greatly broadened our international horizon and helped us to ensure that clients with international needs can obtain professional and cost effective business solutions.

While IAPA may include within its membership groupings of firms that together may form “networks” as defined by the IFAC Code of Ethics (Section 290) and the European Union Statutory Audit (revised 8th Company Law) Directive, IAPA is not a “network” in its own right, and thus is exempt from regulations applicable to “networks.”
